            are best for homes and businesses that need uninterrupted power and typically run on natural gas or diesel. 

They are permanently installed and automatically switched on during a power outage. 

 

Inverter Generators

                are more fuel-efficient and quieter than traditional portable generators. They adjust power output based on demand, so they are suitable for sensitive electronics like computers and medical devices.  

Meanwhile, your generator's capacity should be slightly higher than your total power requirement to prevent overload and allow for future power needs, If your power needs are 5 kW, choose a generator rated 6-7 kW to ensure a buffer. 

For businesses with higher surge power demands, consider a commercial- grade generator with adequate capacity for equipment with motors or compressors.

After choosing the right generator, planning  for proper installation, maintenance, and long- term efficiency is essential. many generator manufacturers provide online sizing calculators where you can input your appliance and get a recommended generator size.
